345 Rule of Evangelism

1 Peter 3:15

Telling people about God and Jesus is not always easy, and sometimes it gets harder when you meet someone who has never heard about the Bible before or its contents. The 345 Rule is not a demand, or something that has to be done to convert someone. It is just a simple way to get started and think about what you're going to tell other people when you start to talk to them.

3 Prepared Statements These statements should not be loaded with a lot of Biblical lingo. It's not always easy to understand. If at all possible start by avoiding the specific terms "Sin" "Resurrection" "Apostle" or anything else that goes along those lines. It is easy to replace these words with new things, you just have to be aware of what you're doing. Also, don't load them down with "Jesus died for you, so that you can be welcomed into Heaven." Say something like that, but try to simplify it so that it doesn't sound so harsh. To you and me, that sounds like a blessing, but to people who don't get it, it sounds like a bunch of made up stuff that no one would want to believe.

4 Prepared Reasons This is where you can start talking about all of the Christian lingo. You should always have reasons for your faith, whether that be personal experiences, scientific evidence, historical evidence, or whatever. You should not just say that it is the only way. You can and should say that, but give a reason. "I made bad choices, and I felt horrible, how could God ever love me? But then I learned about Jesus." This is a perfect example of what you could propose.

5 Prepared Questions and Answers You should always be prepared for what people are going to say. People are going to question you about your faith, and whatever those questions may be, you should have a legitimate answer. So, what you should do before you begin is thinking of 5 questions that someone might ask you, and then come up with answers for all of them. Most of the time people will ask you personal questions, or factual questions. When someone that is a believer tells you, you don't need evidence because you have faith. That is true, but for some people they need little scientific evidence to give them a push to start believing.

If you have any other questions, tweet me! My twitter is on the top of the blog page! Get out their and tell people about your faith! Remember: you're important! Have a great weekend! God bless...
